Breitenberg / Aggenstein

Hiking, climbing, cycling or simply watching nature - the summer is diverse at the Breitenberg. In cosy mountain huts you can enjoy hearty snacks and from sunny terraces you have wonderful views of the pre-Alps landscape and the Bavarian, Tyrolean and Swiss Mountains

Hahnenkammregion Reutte

Alpine flower garden, alpine barefoot path, via ferrata Köllenspitze and much more await you in summer in the Hahnenkammregion. In winter, the Hahnenkamm offers a variety of slopes for the skiers.

Schönkahler (1.688 m)

A relatively easy start is possible on the Schönkahler. Via forest roads on the east side one you can reach the Pfrontener Alpe. From there a path leads trough meadows to the area between Schönkahler and Pirschling. Through the forest and over pastures on the southern side you will reach the summit, which is decorated with a three meters high cross.

Falkenstein hike over Salober to the Alatsee (up to 1300 m)

The hike, which starts at the Schloßangeralp over the Saloberalm to the Alatsee, takes about 4 hours and it is advisable to get to the Burghotel on the Falkenstein before 9 o'clock, because the climb is very difficult.

Füssener Jöchle (1.821 m)

The Füssener Jöchle in Grän is a ski, hiking and excursion area for the whole family. From relaxing to moderate, family-friendly hike goes from Grän, with the entrance to the Burgschenke in Grän on route number 7 and signpost to the Adlerhorst. Shortly before the Adlerhorst Inn, the path 413 branches off, which leads to the Gessenwangalm. From here the path goes further to Sonnenalm and Füssener Jöchle. From there a newly constructed road let you easily reach the Gamskopf with a panoramic view.

Edelsberg Tour (between 1150 and 1500 m)

On the Edelsberg, from the Ammergau Alps in the east you have a panoramic view over the Tannheim Mountains to the Allgäu Alps and the Nagelfluhkette in the west. On a tour several mountain huts invite you to a cosy stopover: Gundhütte, Kappeler Alm, Hündeleskopfhütte and Dinserhütte.

Tegelberg (1.800 m)

You can reach the Tegelberg whether by the Tegelberg Cable Car or on foot and from there you have a beautiful view of the "Königswinkel". The Tegelberg is a mountain to enjoy, admire and experience. The extensive hiking trails invite families as well as demanding mountain hikers to extensive and varied tours. It is worth every effort to look at the foothills of the Alps. The municipality, together with the Forestry Office, has set up a cultural and nature trail, which provides an entertaining and instructive presentation of the history of the Tegelberg, explains and illustrates flora and fauna of the region.
There is a summer toboggan run with a length of 760 m at the Valley Station of the Tegelberg Cable Car. Many other facilities, such as children's playground, water games or trampoline are connected to the toboggan run.

Große Schlicke (2.059 m)

On the Große Schlicke you can enjoy a relaxing and worthwhile hike with a stopover in the Otto-Mayr-Hütte. Here you have impressive views over steep rocks and at the summit a very nice panorama. The walking time to the summit is about 2,5 hours.
The starting point is the parking place at the Gasthaus Bärenfalle near Musau. From there, a forest trail leads up to the Otto-Mayr-Hütte. A half an hour trail leads up to the summit cross. The way back goes through the same route.
