The Berghof, located in the heart of the foothills of the Alps, lies in a magnificent setting at 840m above sea level, above the idyllic village of Wald im Allgäu, a few kilometres from the Allgäu Alps. Our hotel is a holiday paradise, which is unique because of its personality and versatility, and not least its unique location.
Whether for a family holiday, group travels, meetings, or just travelling through, you will find a friendly home and a suitable place for any occasion in the Berghof. The well being of our guests is always on the first place.
In addition to the country guesthouse with a hotel, traditional inn, extensive open space, park facilities and a wellness adventure area, the Berghof has a special offer: experience gastronomy in the demonstration cheese dairy with brewery and a farm shop. In front of our guests we make our own cheese, brew fresh beer and offer direct marketing in the true sense of the word.
We, Herbert and Monika Babel, run the family business together with our 3 sons. The next generation has specialized in the different areas and has set the course for the successful future: Tobias as an agricultural master, Michael as a kitchen chef and Simon as a specialist for dairy and cheese production.
